| Windstar Farm served the community as an interactive, educational experience for over 7 years. Whether set up as a classroom experience for schools or as a petting farm for special events, we shared with you our love and appreciation for animals. It has been a difficult decision for us to discontinue our mobile farm. Due to rising fuel costs, insurance costs and other interests of our sons, we are unable to continue to travel with our animals. We still love and house many of the animals that you have come to know and love. Some of the animals have been placed in loving homes and we stay in touch with their new families. The animals who have stayed with us will live out their natural lifetimes and when their time comes, they will be allowed to pass quietly to the Rainbow Bridge awaiting the arrival of one of their human companions. Someday, we will meet them again and will travel together over the Rainbow Bridge and into Heaven.* Click here to read the story of the Rainbow Bridge | |

In Memorium On April 26, 2009, Mr. Prozac (Zac) was humanely euthanized after a severe bout of peritonitis. Zac was a founding member of our llama herd and was our lead public relations llama. Zac spent many years "on the road" participating in parades, visiting patients in nursing homes, teaching school children about llamas and opening the world of llamas to thousands of people. Zac was the only weather prognosticating llama in the world according to Groundhogsday.com. The stories of his weather forcasting was noted in newspapers around the world. Zac learned the art of weather forecasting from his groundhog friend Noah John. Before Zac passed away, he appointed a protoge` to continue the Groundhog Day tradition. February 2nd, 2010 will be Tutor's first prognosticating challenge. Check back on this site for his weather prediction and for photos of the event. Zac will be missed by everyone at Windstar Farm and by all who have met him over the years. Zac, we will meet you at the Rainbow Bridge and when the day comes, you can cross into heaven with your Daddy - Mark. |
